GUARDIAN RFID is looking for an Android Developer to join our rapidly growing team at our company headquarters in Maple Grove, Minn.

As a GUARDIAN RFID Android Developer, you are responsible for developing and launching mobile applications to our customers. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • 2+ years experience developing Android applications

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of the Android SDK
  • Proficiency in Java for development on Android
  • Ability to create RestAPI calls
  • Ability to follow a strict brand guide
  • Familiarity with MVC architecture
  • Ability to code in a team environment
  • Knowledge of agile/scrum methodology
  • Experience with iterative design
  • Proficiency with testing, bug fixing, and improving application performance
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices
  • Experience with offline storage, and performance tuning
  • Experience with multithreading background tasks parallel with the user interface
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
  • Knowledge of standard source control practices
  • Experience launching an application to customers

Preferred Skills

  • Working knowledge of SQL query
  • Experience with mobile device management (MDM) software
  • Experience making design proposals
